PURPOSE: A device for testing steering characteristics is provided to obtain uniform characteristic values through a constant speed steering by rotating a steering wheel with a servo motor, thereby removing the signal converter and reducing the required manpower while improving the reliability of the measurement. CONSTITUTION: A device for testing steering characteristics includes a fixed element(4) fixed to a steering wheel(2), a servo motor(6) connected to the fixed element for rotating the steering wheel, a fixing bracket(8) for supporting the servo motor to be connected to the fixed element, a signal analyzer(10) for analyzing a steering angle signal and a steering torque signal applied from the servo motor, and a control unit(24) for operating the servo motor to right or left according to a signal applied from the signal analyzer.
