PURPOSE: A metal gasket is provided to improve the durability by stably securing the sealing property and preventing crumbling a bead portion. CONSTITUTION: A gasket(1) is formed by three metal plates. Bead portions(4,5) are formed in the upper and the lower plates(2,3). An intermediate pipe(6) is installed between the upper and the lower plates(2,3). A waveform portion(7) in horizontal ends(2,3) of the plates(2,3). The plates(2,3,6) are inserted between a cylinder block and a cylinder head. The intermediate plate(6) prevents a crumbling of the bead portions(4,5) by functioning as a stopper. Damage of the bead portions(4,5) is prevented by blocking a small change through the waveform portion(7). A secondary sealing is performed through the bead portions(4,5).
