PURPOSE: A shutter apparatus for air conditioner indoor unit is provided, in which a link structure is employed for the shutter of indoor unit, to thereby obtain a shutter apparatus simple in structure and easy to manufacture, while minimizing noise and breakdown of the apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A shutter apparatus includes a link structure arranged at the center of the rear surface of a shutter(20), in such a manner as to open and close the shutter in a non-eccentric manner. The link structure includes a hinge coupling unit consisting of a hinge bracket(30) and a hinge axis(31) fixed to the lower end of the rear surface of the shutter; a straight link(32) and a rotation shaft(33). The link structure operates by a rotation shaft supporting bracket(34), a motor fixing bracket(36) and a gear motor(35) fixed to a front panel(4) of an indoor unit. The gear motor is electrically connected to a control unit in a manner that the gear motor stops its operation by a plurality of contact switches(40,41) attached to the front panel. The gear motor is fixed to the rear surface of the shutter by the motor fixing bracket in an axial direction of the rotation shaft. The rotation shaft supporting bracket and the motor fixing bracket are bent into L-shape so as to avoid interference with the shutter opening or closing operation.
