PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to prevent damage of the protecting layer by sloping the thickness of X holding electrode and Y holding electrode which is formed at the rear of front substrate. CONSTITUTION: A front electrode group consists of X holding electrode(3) and Y holding electrode(4) which is formed at the rear of front substrate(1). A sub-electrode(5) is formed at the one side of the X holding electrode(3) and Y holding electrode(4). A dielectric(8) is formed on X holding electrode(3) and Y holding electrode(4). A protecting layer(12) deposits on the dielectric(8). The front electrode group is formed by the isotropic etching method. An electrode thickness of X holding electrode(3) and Y holding electrode(4) is 1000Å- 5000Å. An address electrode is formed at the rear substrate to form a plurality of the cell. A dielectric layers(8) are formed on the front electrode group and the address electrode. A bulkheads are formed on the dielectric layer of the address electrode. A fluorescent layer is formed at between the bulkheads, respectively. |
