PURPOSE: A welding device with a function for preventing the generation of craters is provided to automatically apply crater currents to a welding torch for a predetermined set time period with the continuous supply of power. CONSTITUTION: A welding device with a function for preventing the generation of craters includes a start switch(20) mounted on the side of a carriage for the welding of the carriage and a welding machine main body, a position sensor(10) mounted on the side of the carriage to be turned off when the carriage reaches a welding finish position, a stop switch(30) mounted on the side of the carriage and connected to the start switch in serial for finishing welding, a first relay(CR1) connected to the stop switch in serial and applying magnetic fields to a first relay contact point, and a crater current supply part(80) connected to the first relay for charging currents when the first relay is turned on and discharging the currents in the other case to apply crater currents to the welding machine main body for continuing the welding operation of the welding machine main body for a predetermined time period.
