PURPOSE: A durability improving device of a rocker arm shaft is provided to increase the durability of a rocker arm shaft by removing stress dispersion due to the bolting and face cutting of the shaft with mounting of an additional cap on the rocker arm shaft. CONSTITUTION: A durability improving device for a rocker arm shaft includes a rocker arm(11), a rocker arm shaft(12), a valve(13), a camshaft(14), a cylinder(15), a spring(16), a valve stem(17), a rocker arm shaft mounting part, a weak part, and a rocker arm shaft cap(20). On the rocker arm shaft, the rocker arm shaft cap is mounted to reinforce the weak part of the rocker arm shaft on the rocker arm shaft mounting part. According to the rocker arm shaft cap, stress dispersion due to the bolting and face cutting of the shaft are removed. Therefore, the stiffness of the shaft is secured and durability is increased.
