PURPOSE: A suction muffler fixing structure for hermetic compressor is provided, in which an elastic blade formed integrally with the suction muffler is used for assembly of the suction muffler to the head cover, to thereby allow the assembly work to be easily performed, while maintaining firm fixation state of the suction muffler. CONSTITUTION: A suction muffler fixing structure comprises a head cover(20) having a muffler mount section(22) formed inside the head cover; a suction muffler(30) coupled to a valve assembly(9) by the head cover, and which has a discharge section(32) protruded from the top of the suction muffler so as to convey the refrigerant with reduced noise to a compression chamber; and elastic blades(40,40') formed integrally with the outer surface of the discharge section of the suction muffler, and which are elastically transformed by being pressed by the both side walls of the muffler mount section, to thereby allow the discharge section of the suction muffler to be fixed to the muffler mount section of the head cover. Thus, the suction muffler is firmly fixed to the head cover, while reducing parts count and manufacturing cost.
