PURPOSE: An apparatus for amplifying the power of a transmitting unit in a portable terminal is provided to offer a power amplifier to variably control an amplification rate according to temperature. CONSTITUTION: A bias voltage(VCC) to drive a power amplifier(100) is supplied to the VCC terminal of the power amplifier(100). A driver bias voltage(VRef) to adjust the amplification gain of the power amplifier(100) is provided to the VRef terminal of the power amplifier(100). The power of the transmitting signal outputted from the power amplifier(100) is controlled according to a value of the driver bias voltage(VRef). A resistor(R1) is connected with the power amplifier(100) in parallel so that a total impedance can be determined. An RF IN signal is supplied to the RF IN terminal of the power amplifier(100). The power amplifier(100) amplifies the RF IN signal and outputs an RF OUT signal. A thermistor(200) having a uniform resistance component under the normal temperature is connected between the driver bias voltage(VRef) and the VRef terminal of the power amplifier(100).
