LIGHT DIFFUSING FILM, ITS PRODUCTION, SURFACE LIGHT SOURCE AND DISPLAY DEVICE

摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a light diffusing film which can be easily and stably produced, which has excellent light-diffusing performance, and which can improve the luminance from a light source, especially, when the film is used with a prism sheet. CONSTITUTION: A light-diffusing film 1 is obtd. by forming a light-diffusing layer 3 on at least one surface of a transparent base body 2, and the light- diffusing layer 3 consists of an ionizing radiation-hardening resin which does not contain light-diffusing particles but bas fine recesses and projections on its surface. The light-diffusing layer 3 is formed to have 1 to 10 μm 10-point average roughness and 5 to 20deg. average inclination angle &thgr;a of the recesses and projections.
