PURPOSE: A method for managing a lottery number and a system for providing a lottery are provided to enable a web client to purchase a lot of serial lotteries having a number which the web client wants and following numbers through the Internet. CONSTITUTION: A web client connects to a web server through a web browser(S100). The web server transmits a message for discriminating whether the web client is a member. In addition, the web server manages money on deposit of the web client(S200). In case that the client inputs the number of trillion figure and one figure and the number of sheets of lotteries, the web server searches a lottery number management memory of a database and transmits the lotteries to the web browser. The web client confirms the lotteries on a monitor(S300). A winning number in a lottery and a prize money are searched from a member management memory. It is determined whether the prize money is sent to the member who holds the winning number or accumulated as the deposit(S400).
