PURPOSE: An ECAD(Electronic Computer Aided Design) utility service method is provided to convert one specific format ECAD data into other format ECAD data over the Internet without purchasing specific expensive softwares. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of a user accessing a service web server over the Internet(201,202), the server checking if ECAD data, owned by the user, can be converted(203), the server displaying a message of nonconvertible ECAD in the case that the ECAD can not be converted(204), the user passing an approval step after inputting personal data(205), the server transmitting an application program to the user via an FTP protocol(206), the user selecting service elements(207), the user driving to convert the ECAD file into other format ECAD file(208), the user checking if design data is normal or abnormal(209), the server executing the ECAD utility service task in the case that the design data is normal(210), the server automatically checking if the converted data is normal(211) and the server transmitting the checking result to an application server and then informing the checking result to the user(212).
