REMEDY COMPOSITION FOR NIDDM(NON-INSULIN DEPENDENT DIABETES MILLITUS) CONTAINING TIMONACIC AND ITS DERIVATIVES

PURPOSE: A remedy composition for NIDDM(non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus) containing timonacic and its derivatives is provided, which is safe as a bio-material, reduces blood sugar level and promotes the secretion of insulin as experimental results practiced with the β-cells from white rat and oral administration to diabetes mouse. CONSTITUTION: As to a remedy composition for NIDDM(non-insulin dependent diabetes millitus) containing timonacic and its derivatives, the timonacic and its derivatives are characterized in being contained respectively in a volume of 0.5-60mg/kg and in a volume of 0.8-60mg/kg on the basis of body weight. And the timonacic derivatives are arginine timocic.
