摘要 PURPOSE: Provided are cryogenic rectification device and method for producing high purity oxygen which can be easily retrofitted to an existing device and method designed to produce oxygen of conventional purity. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing high purity oxygen by the cryogenic rectification of feed air comprises (i) passing feed air into a high pressure column(1) and separating the feed air within the higher pressure column by cryogenic rectification into nitrogen-enriched fluid and oxygen-enriched fluid, (ii) passing nitrogen-enriched fluid and oxygen-enriched fluid from the high pressure column into a low pressure column(2) having a diaphragm(9) in its lower portion, and producing oxygen-enriched liquid by cryogenic rectification within the low pressure column, (iii) passing oxygen-enriched liquid from the low pressure column above the diaphragm into an upgrader column(7), and producing oxygen-enriched liquid by cryogenic rectification within the upgrader column, (iv) passing oxygen-enriched liquid from the low portion of the upgrader column into the lower pressure column below the diaphragm, and at least partially vaporizing the oxygen-enriched fluid, and (v) recovering oxygen-enriched fluid from the low pressure column as product with high purity oxygen.
