REACTANT FOR DECOMPOSITION OF FLUORINE COMPOUND, DECOMPOSITION METHOD AND USAGE THEREOF

PURPOSE: A reactant for the decomposition of a fluorine compound, a decomposition method and its usage are provided to efficiently decompose, and to make harmless fluorine compounds giving a noxious influence to the environment by a simple method. CONSTITUTION: The reactant for the decomposition of a fluorine compound contains alumina and an alkaline earth metal compound, to which a metallic oxide is added. The reactant is catalytically decomposed at 200deg.C or higher, together with the fluorine compounds, thereby the fluorine component of the fluorine compounds is fixed on the reactant. The method for decomposing the fluorine compounds oxidizes carbon monoxide, which is generated by containing oxygen gas in the fluorine compounds.
