PURPOSE: An engine oil consumption reducer is provided to prevent the waste of engine oil and the increase of exhaust gas by separating the oil in blow-by gas and burning pure blow-by gas. CONSTITUTION: A cam(2) and a camshaft(3) are received in a rocker cover(1), and a blower fan(4) rotating with the camshaft is installed at one end of the camshaft. One end of a breather hose(5) is connected to the wall face of the rocker cover while the other end of the breather hose is connected to an intake manifold(6). A metal net(7) is installed in the rocker cover. Blow-by gas leaking to a crank case through a gap between a piston and a cylinder flows into the rocker cover. Engine oil is supplied to the contacting part of the rocker arm and a valve stem for the prevention of wear. Upon the lift-down of the piston, mixed gas flows into the cylinder and blow-by gas in the rocker cover flows into a combustion chamber via the intake manifold. When the camshaft rotates, blow-by gas flows to the breather hose. Then, oil grows to a large flow particulate and falls down to the bottom of the rocker cover. Thereafter, blow-by gas without oil mist moves to the intake manifold through the breather hose.
