PURPOSE: A method for controlling operation of air conditioner indoor unit is provided to achieve a comfort cooling to an indoor space upon initial operation of air conditioner. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the step(S10) of turning on the indoor unit blower by applying power to the air conditioner; the step(S20) of driving the indoor unit blower at the weak air amount in accordance with the preset value; the step(S30) of judging whether a preset time period from starting of operation of the indoor unit blower to the time where the air conditioner normally operates, has lapsed; the step(S40) of allowing the indoor blower to automatically operate at the mid air amount, if the preset time period has lapsed; the step(S50) of allowing the indoor unit blower to automatically operate at the strong air amount after elapse of a predetermined time period; the step(S60) of operating the indoor unit blower in accordance with the preset value; and the step(S70) of turning off the indoor unit blower, or returning to the step(S20).
