PURPOSE: A vacuum compression prevention apparatus for scroll compressor is provided to achieve an in-advance prevention against damage to the hermetic terminal caused due to the vacuum compressor and deterioration of reliability of the compressor. CONSTITUTION: A vacuum compression prevention apparatus comprises a valve housing(110) having a suction pressure area(S1), a discharge pressure area(Sh) and a medium pressure area(Sm) formed between the suction pressure area and the discharge pressure area, wherein three areas are formed to be communicated with each other; a valve member(120) inserted in a slidable manner into the inner periphery of the valve housing, and which moves according to the pressure change of the medium pressure area so as to connect or disconnect the suction pressure area and the discharge pressure area; and an elastic member(130) interposed between the valve housing and the valve body so as to support and reinforce motion of the valve body.
