PURPOSE: A device for locking a door of a vehicle is provided to prevent the vehicle burglary by carrying out the transmission of working force between a rotation plate element and a working force transmission shaft only when a key is inserted into a key cylinder assembly normally. CONSTITUTION: A device for locking a vehicle door includes a latch assembly(10) for receiving a manipulation force applied from inner and outer knob parts and a key cylinder via first and second link elements(12,14), a rotation plate element(16) and a working force transmission shaft(18) in sequence to release a locking state, wherein the working force transmission shaft is formed with a polygonal power transmission part(18a) and a circular power blocking part(18b) integrally, the rotation plate element is formed with a polygonal opening part to be coupled with the polygonal power transmission part, an electromagnet(20) is mounted on the latch assembly for controlling the transmission of the working force between the rotation plate element and the working force transmission shaft, and a switching element(22) is connected to the electromagnet for applying power of a battery(B"+) in case of a normal key insertion and a normal engine starting.
