PURPOSE: A home zone service method for mobile subscribers in a mobile communication system is provided to carry out home zone services more exactly and efficiently. CONSTITUTION: If an MS(Mobile Station) attempts a call through an access channel(71), a BSS(Base Station Subsystem) receives the origination message and calculates an RTD(Round Trip Delay)(72). An MSC(Mobile Switching Center), receiving the origination message and the calculated RTD, accesses a subscriber information center to search for a home zone database(73,74). Based on the searched database, the MSC checks the subscriber's service class and the RTD maximum and minimum values(75). In case that the received data meets all the conditions, the MSC allows the BSS to set up the call(76). And the BSS allocates a channel to the MS(77). On the other hand, if the received data do not meet all the conditions, the MSC does not allow the BSS to set up the call(78). As a result, the BSS informs the MS of the reason through a paging channel(79).
