SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EXTENDING SHARED LIBRARY BLOCKS IN EXCHANGE SYSTEM MEMORY

PURPOSE: A system and method for extending shared library blocks in an exchange system memory is provided to extend shared library blocks in a memory to process the shared data between the processors of an exchange system. CONSTITUTION: A system for extending shared library blocks in an exchange system memory appoints and extends a logical address domain in which shared library blocks will be located(310). The system confirms whether the appointed and extended logical domain is overlapped with existing data and process storage domains(320). In case that the logical domain is overlapped with other domains, the system adjusts the extended domain so as not to be overlapped with the existing domains. Then the system adjusts a process load procedure so that the shared library blocks can be loaded into the extended memory domain(330). If the adjustment of the process load procedure is completed, the system adjusts the MMU(Memory Management Unit) handling of a relevant process so that other application processes can access the loaded shared library blocks(340).
