METHOD FOR OPERATING INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEM USING MULTICASTING BACKBONE

PURPOSE: A method for operating an intrusion detection system using a multicasting backbone is provided to effectively detect a hacking by efficiently detecting the hacking including a plurality of hosts without an agreement between unit/region intrusion detection systems. CONSTITUTION: A safe multicasting backbone session is formed and opened(40). A security of a session participant is checked(42). Relevant session participants are deleted from a multicasting backbone work flow(44). A group key is issued to reliable session participants(46). Authentication information of the session participants is recorded(48). The session participants load the authentication information to the multicasting backbone session(50). Each integrated intrusion detection system analyzes whether a hacking including a plurality of hosts is generated(52). A result analyzed is coded and distributed(54). Each session participant corrects contents of a database(56).
