PURPOSE: A device and a method for control of dual tool magazines are provided to maximally use 240 tools by simultaneously operating two tool magazines. CONSTITUTION: Upon direction of a tool number, a second tool magazine is stopped and a first tool magazine is moved to search a command tool. If the number of the commanded number is over the tool number of the first tool magazine and is over the added number of the first and second tool magazines, an alarm is issued. If the commanded tool number is between the number of the first tool magazine and the second tool magazine, the tool number is searched. If the tool number is placed in a datum point, the second tool magazine is stopped. Thereafter, the tool is separated from the second tool magazine via a third sub-changer. The separated tool is moved to the first tool magazine via a transfer port. The tool transferred from the second tool magazine is placed in a predetermined point via the first tool magazine. The tool is combined to the first tool magazine via a second sub-changer. The first tool magazine is moved to a weighting point. Finally, the tool is automatically changed via a first sub-changer.
