METHOD FOR OPERATING POWER AMPLIFIER IN BASE STATION AND CIRCUIT FOR DETECTING STATUS

PURPOSE: A method for operating a power amplifier in a base station and a circuit for detecting status are provided to offer a power amplifier circuit to easily detect the damage of a power amplifier and a method to operate the circuit. CONSTITUTION: The drain port(D) of a field effect transistor(FET1) is connected with a DC power source(Vcc). The gate port(G) of the field effect transistor(FET1) is connected to one of the input ports of a comparator(COM1). Also the gate port(G) is connected with a bias voltage circuit(20). The bias voltage circuit(20), supplying a bias voltage(VB), comprises the fourth resistor(R4). The source port(S) of the field effect transistor(FET1) is grounded. A reference voltage(Vref) is supplied to the other input port of the comparator(COM1). The output port of the comparator(COM1) is configured so as to be connected to a control part.
