DEFROST HEATER FOR USE OF COOLING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING DEFROST HEATER

PURPOSE: A defrost heater for use of cooling apparatus and method for manufacturing defrost heater is provided to allow the defrost heater to be easily manufactured and reduce the size of the tube by improving sealing structure of both ends of the tube. CONSTITUTION: A defrost heater(10) comprises a heater wire(11) heating by the power; a tube(12) wrapping around the outer surface of the heater wire so as to protect the heater wire; and a sealing unit for wrapping a connection portion(15) where the heater wire and an external lead wire are interconnected, and sealing an end of the tube. The sealing unit includes a silicon tube(17) covering both the outer surface of the end of the tube and the outer surface of the connection portion, and a sealing tube(18) fitted to the outer surface of the silicon tube and which is tighten through caulking. A method comprises the steps of assembling the tube and the heater wire in such a manner that both ends of the heater wire are exposed outward from both ends of the tube; connecting the lead wire to the exposed end of the heater wire; assembling silicon tube so as to cover the connection portion between the heater wire and the lead wire and the outer surface of the end of the tube; assembling the sealing tube to the outer surface of the silicon tube; and allowing the sealing tube to tightly contact the silicon tube through caulking the sealing tube.
