PURPOSE: A device for examining a cylindrical element is provided to use conveniently with reduced manpower in a short time by examining inner and outer surfaces of the cylindrical element while rotating handles of inner and outer surface examining units after lifting the cylindrical element to an examination position by an examining jig which lifts automatically. CONSTITUTION: A device for examining a cylindrical element includes an inner surface examining unit(4) having a first screw rod(12) rotatably mounted at a left side of a working die(10), a first movable element(16) fitted in the first screw rod to move rectilinearly as the first screw rod rotates, and an inner surface examining element(22) connected to the first movable element to be inserted into an inner surface of the cylindrical element(2) to examine the inner surface of the cylindrical element, an outer surface examining unit(6) having a second screw rod(28) rotatably mounted at a right side of the working die, a second movable element(34) fitted into the second screw rod to move rectilinearly, and an outer surface examining element(42) connected to the second movable element to be inserted in an outer surface of the cylindrical element for examining the outer surface, and an examining jig having a clamp(50) positioned at a lower end between the inner and the outer surface examining unit and engaged with an outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical element for fixing the cylindrical element, and a lifting unit connected to a side of the clamp for lifting the cylindrical element vertically to an examination position.
