DEVICE AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATICALLY CLAMPING/UNCLAMPING OF HYDRAULIC CHUCK

PURPOSE: A device and a method for automatically clamping/unclamping are provided to continuously clamp/unclamp by recognizing clamped/unclamped states of a chuck without moving a switch. CONSTITUTION: An automatic clamper/unclamper contains a sensor for detecting clamping/unclamping hydraulic pressure(20) to detect clamped/unclamped moments of a processed material by equipping with a line(16) in a parallel to a hydraulic line(15) and sensing hydraulic pressure through the parallel line(16); a cylinder movement distance detector(30) to read moved distances of a cylinder(13) at the clamped/unclamped moments; and a control unit(40) to control clamped/unclamped points by memorizing the clamped/unclamped moments through data from the sensor(20) and the detector(30). In starting a system, the processed material is inputted into a chuck. The hydraulic pressure for clamping/unclamping is offered to the cylinder through a hydraulic circuit. The hydraulic pressure is checked and compared with a reference pressure to discriminated the clamped/unclamped states. The moved distance of the cylinder is sensed. The cylinder is moved at the same length after memorizing the sensed data.
