PURPOSE: A fuel intercepting device for a diesel engine is provided to reduce the error of operation by rotating a stop lever from a start position to a stop position simultaneously with the 'on' signal of a starting key and intercepting fuel feed. CONSTITUTION: A control rack(46) is coupled to a pump plunger(44) by rack-pinion coupling and longitudinally moves. A fulcrum lever(8) is connected to the control rack and rotatably mounted on a guide lever(12) around a pin(10). A control lever(6) is interposed between the fulcrum lever and a stop lever(2). The stop lever is rotated from a start position(P1) to a stop position(P2) by the operation force of the control rack transferred through the fulcrum lever, and intercepts fuel feed. An electromagnet(62) is magnetized by the 'on' signal of a starting key switch(40) and moves a movable plate(60) oppositely fixed on the peripheral face of the control rack.
