TRANSMISSION TYPE DISPLAY DEVICE USING MICRO OPTICAL MODULATOR

PURPOSE: A transmission type display device using a micro optical modulator is provided to present an optimum condition to an optical converting member for converting an optical path obliquely incident into a direction perpendicular to a display surface. CONSTITUTION: The display device comprises a plurality of fixed members(12) and a plurality movable members(11) for opening/closing an optical path. Optical path converting members(20) are mounted on the fixed members to convert the optical path obliquely incident through spaces between the fixed and movable members into a direction perpendicular to a display surface. Further, the angle of an incident surface mounted on one side of the optical path converting member is set to at least 52 deg. on the reference of the display surface.
