DEVICE FOR VARIABLE INTAKE AND EXHAUST SYSTEM USING SHUTTLE TYPE VALVE

PURPOSE: A device for variable intake and exhaust is provided to reduce number of components through opening and closing a valve in a rotating type. CONSTITUTION: A cylinder head(20) contains rotating typed intake and exhaust shutter valves(31) for opening and closing an intake port(21) and an exhaust port(22). Herein, servo motors(51) receives a signal from a control unit for controlling driving gears(53). In an intake stroke of an engine, the intake servo motor(51) is driven for rotating the intake shutter valve(31) through driving force transfer of the gears. Thus, a hole of the intake shutter valve is identified with the intake port for input mixed air to an engine combustion chamber. In an exhaust stroke of the engine, the exhaust servo motor is driven for rotating the exhaustion shutter valve. Thus, a hole of the exhaust shutter valve is identified with the exhaust port for discharging combustion gas from the engine combustion chamber through the exhaust port.
