PURPOSE: A method for viewing a broadcasting program in a personal computer is provided to enable a user to view a broadcasting program in a personal computer by receiving the broadcasting program using broadcasting program data obtained from an interface. CONSTITUTION: An arbitrary broadcasting channel is received(S30). A microcomputer stores KBPS(Korea Broadcasting Program System) data in a memory(S31). In case that a user makes a request for outputting a menu screen of the KBPS(S32), the menu screen is outputted and displayed(S33). In case that the user selects and designates a specific program(S34), KBPS data on the specific program are read from the memory(S35). The KBPS data converted are transmitted to a personal computer connected through an interface(S36). In case that the KBPS data transmitted from a VCR are received(S37), a CPU confirms whether the KBPS data received through a parallel port are normal(S38). An error information message is outputted(S39). A connection to the Internet is automatically performed(S40). An Internet site is automatically searched and connected(S41). A broadcasting program provided from the site is downloaded(S42) and outputted to a video card(S43). The program is outputted through a monitor(S44). An error message is outputted(S45).
