PURPOSE: A ball type vibration isolator is provided to prevent the conduction of vibration-isolation materials by revolving horizontally when an earthquake occurs. CONSTITUTION: The ball type vibration isolator(1) comprises upper and lower bases(3) arranged to be overlapped, many balls(4) interposed between the upper and lower bases(3) to be rolled for the relative movement of the upper and lower bases(3) horizontally, a retainer(5) for keeping each ball to be rolled, and a guide instrument for guiding the relative movement of the base and the retainer(5) or the upper and lower bases(3) to prevent the upper and lower base(3) from making horizontal revolution relatively.
