PURPOSE: To easily and precisely perform work for adjusting braking force. CONSTITUTION: A centrifugal brake mechanism 23 for a reel supported with bearings at both ends is an apparatus for braking a spool 12 movably installed in a reel body 1, and is equipped with a braking member 51, a rotating member 52, a plurality of moving members 53 and a transfer mechanism 54. The braking member 51 is fixed on the reel body 1. The rotating member 52 is placed on an axial line identical to the member 51, rotates in an interlocked state with the spool 12 and can move along the axial direction of the spool 12 with respect to the reel body 1. The plurality of moving members 53 are movably fitted on the rotating member 52 in such a way as to move toward the braking member 51 by centrifugal force due to the rotation of the spool 12, and can contact with the member 51 by the different number of members 53 on the basis of the movement of the member 52 in its axial direction while braking. The transfer mechanism 54 fills the role of moving the member 52 so as to reciprocate in its axial direction.
