SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING INTERNET WEB PAGE UPDATING INFORMATION AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A system for providing an Internet web page updating information and a method thereof are provided to increase the convenience of a user by providing information and contents updated of an arbitrary homepage to an Internet user through an electronic mail, by continuously monitoring an arbitrary web page, and by directly approaching the contents through a hyperlink. CONSTITUTION: A user registers a homepage URL(Uniform Resource Locator) and an electronic mail address capable of receiving updated contents in an information registration unit(1). A user registration information database(5) stores the electronic mail address and the homepage URL. A homepage updating information database(6) stores a hyperlink catalog displayed on a homepage up to now by homepages. A web robot(4) monitors the homepages registered in the homepage updating information database(6), and brings catalogs and contents of the homepages updated. A homepage updating information extraction unit(3) compares a hyperlink with the hyperlink catalog stored in the homepage updating information database(6). A mail transmission processing unit(2) transmits a summary of contents updated to each user.
