PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable communication terminal which realizes both portability and operability and can easily recognize display contents. SOLUTION: The terminal is constituted of a main body 1 and a key pad part 4 connected to the main body 1 so that it can slide. The key pad part 4 can be stored in the main body 1 and can be set in a pulled-out state. A key group 5 for operating the portable telephone set becoming the portable communication terminal is installed in the key pad part 4. A user can operate the key group 5 in a state where the key pad part 4 is pulled out. When the key pad part 4 is completely stored in the main body 1, the key group 5 is complete stored in the main body 1 and the user cannot operate the key group 5. When it is not used, the key pad part 4 is stored in the main body 1 and the terminal takes a form superior in portability. When it is used, the key pad part 4 is pulled out from the main body 1 and the terminal can take the form superior in operability. Thus, the portable telephone set for realizing bath portability and operability and speedily recognizing the display content is obtained.
