SOLUTION: In this solar battery cell having bypass functions, a plurality of island-shaped p+-type regions 3 that are third regions are formed, so that they project from regions 1 and 2 at the boundary between p-type and n-type regions 1 and 2 for composing a substrate 10, and are formed while being separated from the surface of the substrate 10, thus eliminating the need for an insulation film for isolating the p+-type region 3 and an n electrode 7 for composing an np+ diode, which is different from conventional examples in the solar battery cell and hence reducing manufacturing cost.
