PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sprocket constituted with a small thickness as the whole while keeping the smooth meshing relation with a chain so as to reduce the weight while sufficiently ensuring the strength to torsion, easily manufacturable by press molding, and excellent in design. SOLUTION: This sprocket is formed of a metal plate having a thickness set to 4/5-1/10 of the thickness of the dedendum of a proper tooth properly meshed with the chain. A corrugated part 2 corrugated in the thickness direction along the circumferential direction is formed on at least the circumferential part, and a tooth 5 is formed on the outer end of at least the top 3 of the wave of the corrugated part 2, whereby the apparent thickness of the tooth 5 is set to the same thickness as the proper tooth. The pitch between the tops 3 of at least one wave of the corrugated part 2 is set to be different from the pitch between the tops in another wave. In this wave, the tooth 5 is formed on the outer end of the top 3, and a tooth 5G is formed on the outer end in the middle of an inclined part 4G between the tops 3.
