PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide color photographic sensitive material excellent in rapid processability and production stability and excellent in the shad depiction of the high density part of a color print obtained by scanning exposure. SOLUTION: The silver halide color photographic sensitive material contains an emulsion with silver halide grains having >=95 mol% silver chloride content in a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and satisfies the relations of the expressions 0.65<=D1'/D1<=0.85 and 1.1<=log(E2/E1)<=1.4 with respect to each characteristic curve obtained by exposing and color-developing the sensitive material. In the expressions, D1 is a density obtained in the case of exposure with 10 times as much light exposure as the light exposure required to obtain (the density of the unexposed part)+0.02 on a characteristic curve obtained by exposure for 10-1 sec exposure time; D1' is that on a characteristic curve obtained by exposure for 10-4 sec exposure time: E1 is the light exposure required to obtain (the density of the unexposed part) +0.02 on the characteristic curve obtained by exposure for 10-4 sec exposure time; and E2 is the light exposure required, on the same characteristic curve, to obtain a density 0.92 time the maximum density on the characteristic curve obtained by exposure for 10-1 sec exposure time.
