DETECTION AND QUANTITATION OF NEU-RELATED PROTEIN IN HUMAN BIOLOGICAL FLUID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monoclonal antibody capable of binding to p100, a human neu-related protein considered to be associated with tumor malignancy and having a molecular weight of about 97,000 to 115,000 dalton which is present extracellular region and can be detected in a biological fluid. SOLUTION: The detection is made in such a way that, a human neu gene is detected based on a rat neu gene, and using protein p185 realized by cells having the human neu gene, mice are immunized to create several kinds of hybridoma cells capable of producing a monoclonal antibody bindable to the above protein, and using the monoclonal antibody produced by the above hybridoma cell, the above protein is detected from the blood of cancer patients.
