PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic element using a coupler forming a dye that exhibits a narrow left band width and reduces incorrect sub-absorption according to the width, a compound and a method. SOLUTION: The photographic element includes a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer combined with a cyan type 'NB coupler' of formula I (where the NB coupler, Y, Z", Z*, W2, n, p and V are defined as described in this specification).
