METHOD OF LOADING METAL CARRIERS INTO MELTING-AND-GASIFYING APPARATUS AND PLANT FOR REALIZATION OF THIS METHOD

metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: metal carriers, sponge iron in particular containing finely-dispersed part which is partially reduced are fed to apparatus above level of melting-and-gasifying zone. Metal carriers are lowered into melting-and-gasifying zone passing through this zone and forming molten metal; reducing gas is formed in lower portion of melting-and-gasifying apparatus due to gasification of coal at delivery of oxygen. Delivery of metal carriers in charging them inside melting-and-gasifying apparatus is effected by gravity at definite distance below crown forming jet which is surrounded by gas jacket guarding and accompanying freely falling jet from level of its beginning along section of falling path; at this section, jet excludes expansion by gas jacket. EFFECT: avoidance of partial entrainment of metal carriers from melting-and-gasifying apparatus, their finely-dispersed particles in particular. 11 cl, 3 dwg
