PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read and record prescription data regardless of the front and back of a prescription without lowering the speed of reception slip issuance relating to a prescription read management system for managing the prescription for each patient in a pharmacy for providing the patient with medicines, based on the prescription of the medicines prepared in a hospital. SOLUTION: In a prescription reader 12, management information is sequentially printed on the prescription in a printing means 23 and the management information entirely or partially the same as the management information is sequentially printed on a reception slip and issued in an issuing means 24. The images of the respective surfaces of the prescription are picked up by first and second read means 25 and 26 and first and second image data are sent out to the specifying means 31 of a management computer 13. The front surface of the prescription is specified in the specifying means 31 and specified image data are stored in a recording means 33 as the data of the prescription. |
