PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust core which has low coercive force and is superior in soft magnetic characteristic, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In powder of metal glass alloy, an amorphous phase where a temperature gapΔTX of supercooled liquid represented by formulaΔTx= Tx-Tg (where Tx is a crystallization start temperature, and Tg is glass transition temp0erature) is at least 20 K is made a main phase. A dust core, where the powder of metal glass alloy and insulating material are mixed and molded, is adopted. It is preferable that the metal glass alloy be composed of Al of 1-10 at.%, Ca of 0.5-4 at.%, P of at most15 at.%, C or at most 7 at.%, B of 2-10 at.%, Si of at most 15 at.% and Fe of the residue.
