PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frictional resistance viscosity reducing agent for an aqueous medium which inhibits generation of a vortex in transporting an aqueous medium to have an excellent frictional resistance reducing effect and also, a method of transporting an aqueous medium and a method of reducing the frictional resistance of an aqueous medium by using the same. SOLUTION: The frictional resistance reducing agent composition for an aqueous medium comprises (A) a compound represented by general formula (1) (wherein R1 is a 11-22C linear or branched alkyl group, an alkenyl group or a cyclic hydrocarbon group; R2 is hydrogen or a 2-4C alkyl group or a hydroxyalkyl group; and R3 is a 2-4C hydroxyalkyl group) and (B) a polyvalent metal salt of an anionic surface active agent.
