PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an SO3 densitometer capable of continuously measuring the density of SO3 in exhaust gas. SOLUTION: A plurality of times of going and returning of light are performed from a light source 9 in a cavity sucking the exhaust gas from a gas duct 1, and the density of SO3 in the exhaust gas is measured by spectrally analyzing the light by a calculation means. The exhaust gas from the gas duct 1 is always sucked into the cavity 6, and, since the exhaust gas is discharged into the gas duct 1 after density measurement, the density of SO3 in the exhaust gas can be continuously measured. The desitometer of SO3 can be accurately measured because SO3 in the exhaust gas is not reacted to sulfuric acid gas and SO3 is not decomposed into SO2 by controlling the temperature of the cavity 6 within 350-450 deg.C by a heating furnace 18.
