PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for a bicycle having a battery-driven back light constituted to lengthen the service life of a battery. SOLUTION: This display device 12 is provided with a display part 28, the back light 30, a back light switching command 52 and a control device 32. The back light switching command 52 is connected to the back light 30, to selectively switch the back light on and off and to light the back light 30 in response to a predetermined action command. The control device 32 is connected to the back light switching command 52. After the back light 30 is switched on, the back light 30 is automatically switched off after the lapse of predetermined time. The predetermined time is 30 seconds or less, and lighting of the back light 30 is hindered during the selected time even in the case of receiving the predetermined action command. |
