PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic accompaniment device by which the contents of automatic accompaniment are automatically changed, while being matched with the contents of the playing (a piece of music). SOLUTION: Pattern data of each musical genre are classified and prepared for every pattern and every chord function. The leading address of the pattern data is stored in a second address table 102 in a genre unit. The leading address of the table 102 of each genre is stored in a first address table 101. For example, a processing block 104 consisting of a CPU, a ROM and a RAM exectues chord discrimination, melody discrimination as well as chord function discrimination and conducts the switching of the pattern data that are a reproducing objects, according to the discriminating results by referring to the table 102. Thus, the contents of automatic accompaniment are changed to cause the function change of a chord to be reflected. |
