PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly protect an ornament or the like from a shock, flame, smoke, heat or the like caused by building collapse or the like when an earthquake occurs. SOLUTION: This stand has a support stand part for displaying and placing the ornament A or the like comprising a pair of opening/closing bedplates 4, 5 having symmetric end parts pivotally installed to an opening edge of an opening part 3 opened in a top part such that the bedplates 4, 5 can freely close in a horizontal state and freely open downward, and a closing retention and opening mechanism 10 for the bedplates 4, 5 for retaining the bedplates 4, 5 in the horizontal retention state and opening the bedplates 4, 5 downward; and a pressure-resistant/fireproof safe 2 disposed below the bed plates 4, 5 for housing and protecting the ornament A or the like. In the safe 2, the top wall 20a of a main body 21 is formed with an opening part 22 such that the opening part 22 communicates and accords with the opening part 3 of the bedplates 4, 5, the opening part 22 is disposed with pressure-resistant/fireproof shutters 23, 24 such that the shutters 23, 24 can freely open and close, and the shutter 23, 24 are provided with shutter opening/closing drive mechanisms 25, 26.
