PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tree-cutting device which can improve unneeded impact forces added to a rotary blade drum, non-uniform transfer speeds, and so on, and can thereby efficiently cut trees, when viscous resin-oozing trees, such as rubber trees or palm trees, not permitting the employment of the blades of saws such as chain saws among trees are cut, while conventional rotary blade drums having projecting cutting blades thereon have a problem that the conventional rotary blade drums can stably and efficiently not cut the trees and additionally severely consume the cutting blades, because the conventional rotary blade drums are simply collided with the stems of the trees to fall the trees. SOLUTION: This device for cutting trees, characterized by rotatably connecting the tip of an excavator 1 to a frame 3 whose front surface is opened and which is provided with both the side support plates 5, disposing holding devices 14, 15 for guiding a tree to be cut into a space between both the side support plates 5 of the frame 3 and fixing the tree from both the sides, and pivotally disposing a rotary blade drum 19 having many projecting cutting blades 20 projected out from the outer peripheral surface behind the holding devices so that the rotary blade drum 19 can longitudinally be moved along a long hole 22 formed in the frame 3 in parallel to the length direction of the frame 3.
