摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive method of a plasma display panel, capable of reducing the load to a power source circuit and effects of noise and electromagnetic interference waves. SOLUTION: In a drive method in which as to a plasma display, in which address electrode lines are cut off at their centers and they are dividedly driven as a first panel and a second panel, the minimum drive period includes a display discharge period, a reset period and a address period and barrier charges are formed on pixels which are to be displayed by applying a scanning pulse to at least one Y electrode line in the address period, and at the same time, by impressing corresponding display data signals on respective address electrodes lines and display discharges are generated in the pixels in which barrier charge are formed by aternately applying pulses for discharge to X and Y electrode lines in the display discharge period and a reset pulse for forming space charge, while removing barrier charge remaining from a preceding subfield is applied to corresponding Y electrode lines in the reset period, the address period is made to be applied to the second panel in intervals T22, T32, T42 and T52, when the display discharge period and the reset period are applied to the first panel.</p>
