PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a failure inconspicuous on a screen as a whole, when a display unit is out of order and to easily identify the failed display unit. SOLUTION: Control circuits 31 and 41 of display units 1 and 2 transmit digital video signals and control signals from IN terminals of digital interfaces 11 and 12 to post stage display units from OUT terminals. Moreover, when the circuits 31 and 41 detect the failures of own display units, the circuits 31 and 41 transmit error signals to the post stage display units from the OUT terminals of the interfaces 11 and 12 and put power supply circuits 34 and 44 in their stopped conditions. When the circuit 41 of the unit 2 receives error signals from a front stage, the circuit 41 transmits the received error signals to the post stage display units and switches the screen condition of a video display means. |
